Multitasking On Your iPad

How To Use iPad Multitasking

The multitasking function on the iPad is a way to use multiple applications on the iPad at once. Before this was introduced the only way you could open an app was to quit the current app been used.

But when iOS 4.2 came along so did multitasking.

Multitasking now allows you to keep your emails open whilst playing games, browsing the web or using any of the other fabulous iPad functions/apps.

Multitasking actually works by pausing the apps that are running but not been used, this helps save battery life and eliminate the processors workload.

To use multitask simply double tap on the ‘Home’ button, this will bring up a taskbar at the bottom of the screen. In the taskbar there will be icons of the last 6 or most recently used apps depending on screen orientation. just a simple touch on the desired app will open that app at the last place you left off with it.
